PHILGUARANTEE and Top Bank Philippines Inc. formalized its partnership on Housing Retail Guarantee Facility

The Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) and Top Bank Philippines Inc. strengthen its partnership through a ceremonial contract signing agreement on August 9, 2024, to provide financial guarantee support to housing sector.

The ceremonial signing was led by PHILGUARANTEE President and CEO Alberto E. Pascual and Senior Vice President Melinda M. Adriano, along with Top Bank Philippines Inc. President and CEO Ismael “Mike” R. Sandig, Vice President for Corporate Lending Group Head Alvin Joe L. Maranan, and Vice President, and Executive Assistant – Office of the President Anastacia Reyes.

“It is with great pleasure that we close and sign a P250.0 million housing retail guarantee facility with the Top Bank Philippines, previously known as Country Builder’s” said PCEO Pascual. He expressed that the PHILGUARANTEE, as a state guarantee institution, is pleased to extend support through the housing guaranty and expressed confidence that the new guarantee loan facility will prove advantageous for both offices. Top Bank management underscored the importance of their partnership with PHILGUARANTEE, noting that it will enhance and expand their loan portfolio, which will help them further position their rebranded name as one of the most trusted banking institutions in the Philippines. PCEO Sandig highlighted “As we continue to grow, PHILGUARANTEE is with us.” The ceremonial signing highlights a key step forward in efforts to increase access to affordable housing and initiate support in the housing finance sector.
