PHILGUARANTEE to Host the 33rd ACSIC Training Program in Manila on September 22–26, 2025

The Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) will host the 33rd Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC) Training Program (ATP) from 22 to 26 September 2025 in Manila, Philippines.
This year’s training program will be conducted under the theme, “Enabling Credit Guarantees to Mobilize Funds for Sustainable and Inclusive
Economic Development.” The event will serve as a platform for institutional learning, and the exchange of best practices, with a focus on strengthening credit guarantee systems to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promote inclusive economic development across the region.
Delegates from Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, Taiwan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, and the Kyrgyz Republic (as an observer) have confirmed their participation, while responses from other ACSIC member institutions are currently awaited. The program will also feature guest resource speakers who will provide insights on global and regional developments in credit guarantees, sustainable finance, and institutional strategy.
In recent years, PHILGUARANTEE has actively participated in previous ACSIC Training Programs, which have significantly contributed to its institutional readiness in organizing this year’s event. Senior Vice President Ian Briones of the Corporate Services Group attended the 2023 ATP held in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the theme “Building a Resilient Future: Enabling Sustainable Credit Supplementation,” while Vice President Raymund Togonon of the Priority Sectors Guarantee Group represented the institution at the 2024 ATP in Tokyo, Japan, which focused on “Unique Initiatives Based on Recent Economic Situations.” These experiences provided valuable insights and best practices that have informed the planning and design of the 33rd Training Program.
ACSIC is a regional network of credit guarantee organizations. Established in 1987, ACSIC comprises 18 member institutions from 13 countries in Asia, making it the largest cooperative platform in the region dedicated to credit supplementation. ACSIC aims to promote the sound development of credit supplementation systems for small businesses throughout Asia through the exchange of information, policy dialogue, and interchange of personnel among its members.
PHILGUARANTEE’s hosting of the 33rd ACSIC Training Program reaffirms its commitment to advancing regional cooperation, institutional development, and inclusive financing. The training program will feature plenary sessions, institutional presentations, roundtable discussions and cultural activities—providing a comprehensive opportunity for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and cross-cultural exchange among member institutions.
