PHILGUARANTEE Strengthens Support and Financial Empowerment for Agri-Communities through its CSR initiative

Driven by its mandate to empower communities and uplift key sectors, state-owned Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE), in coordination with the Tayabas Community Multipurpose Cooperative and Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative, conducted its yearly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative benefiting over 200 agri-communities–farmers, fishers, and livestock raisers on April 29-30, 2025 in Quezon and Batangas Province. The activity highlighted an insightful Seminar on Financial Literacy focusing on Gender and Finance, and with a grocery item distribution.

PHILGUARANTEE took proactive steps to assist those most affected from the past severe tropical storm. The Seminar on Financial Literacy provided valuable insights on managing finances, with emphasis on gender inclusivity in financial decision-making. Alongside this, essential grocery items were distributed to selected recipients. Special consideration was extended to cooperative members who have maintained active and responsible participation.

This CSR effort underscores PHILGUARANTEE’s steadfast commitment to empowering communities rebuild and recover, and champion gender-sensitive and sustainable development that are essential to nation’s growth.
