PHILGUARANTEE Briefs MOBCI Rural Banks on MSME, Housing, and Agriculture Guarantee Programs in Cagayan de Oro

The Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) conducted a program briefing for the Misamis Oriental-Bukidnon-Camiguin-Iligan Federation of Rural Banks (MOBCI) on 9 January 2026, as part of its continued engagement with regional financial institutions to strengthen access to credit in the Mindanao region.

The briefing was led by PHILGUARANTEE President and CEO Alberto Pascual, with Senior Vice President Celso Gutierrez presenting PHILGUARANTEE’s MSME, housing, and agriculture guarantee programs designed to support rural banks in expanding their lending portfolios.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Cesar Magallanes, President of the MOBCI Federation of Rural Banks and RBT Bank, Inc., and also attended by Atty. Patrick Bryan Absin, President of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP), along with member rural banks of the Federation. The briefing served as an opportunity to discuss risk-sharing, expand lending portfolios, and support regional development, while highlighting PHILGUARANTEE’s ongoing collaboration with rural banks to advance sustainable financing for MSMEs, housing, and agriculture.
